With a shuttle, the Twisp Washington Foggy Dew Trail can be combined with Martin Creek to Eagle Lake for an epic 18mi ride, but Foggy Dew Tr417 combined with Foggy Dew Ridge Tr438 is near-epic and requires no shuttle or major road climbing.

Foggy Dew Tr417 parallels the north side of the creek, through ponderosa pine and Douglas fir.
As a CCW, the ride starts with a 2.6mi, 22% incline ascent of Foggy Dew Ridge, which will exceed the capabilities of most riders but is a relatively fast way to get the needed elevation gain for the Foggy Dew Creek descent.
Summit Tr1259.3 connects to the Uno Peak Tr1260, Safety Harbor Creek Tr1261 loop, although most would choose to access that challenging loop ride from Manson/FR8200.
Sawtooth Wilderness trails: The nearby Fish Creek and Prince Creek wilderness trails offer great loop hiking options, with destination campgrounds at the Moore Point CG and Prince Creek CG.
Directions: NW Forest Pass required right at the TH. SR153S 14.6mi from Twisp go right onto Gold Creek Loop Rd., then go right onto Gold Cr. Rd., which becomes FR4340. Follow the signs for Crater Creek and Eagle Lake trails. Go 4mi then go left at the Y and follow FR4340-200 2.4mi to the Foggy Dew TH. View Larger Map. No Map?.

- 1mi: Go left on Foggy Dew Rdg Tr438 and continue ascending for 2mi.
- 3mi: Ride the Foggy Dew ridgeline for 3mi.
- 6mi: Reach the Martin Creek Tr429 intersection and go right .6mi to Trail 434 to access the top of Foggy Dew Tr417. Go left to access the Foggy Dew Tr417 midpoint.
- 7.4mi: Trail 434 provides access to the top of Foggy Dew Tr417. Begin 7.5mi descent.
- 13.5mi: Foggy Dew Tr417 TH. Continue 1.7mi back to the Trail 425 intersection.
