Some historic mine sites are located near the top of Chance Creek. The section alongside Chance Creek may not be ridable to the lower TH, due to trail damage.

The area around Silver Creek is private land. This section was burned in the 2002 Biscuit Fire.

Nearby Little Silver Lake is a landslide lake. Little Silver Lake Tr1184 is open to biking but not recommended. The trail is cut through rocky cliffs, into a razor-back ridge line.

Silver Creek Tr1134 was also burned in the 2002 Bisquit fire and is closed due to access issues.
