Middle Fork Teanaway Tr1393 is a great OAB ride by itself and also serves as a good approach for a loop ride.
As a north-south connector trail, Koppen Mountain Tr1225 can be combined with other area loop rides, such as Esmeralda Basin Tr1394 or Iron Peak Tr1399.
The Koppen Mountain Tr1225 ridgeline is rocky, so at times the trail can be difficult to follow.
A GPS is strongly suggested and leave extra time for flats and pathfinding.
For those seeking a Middle Fork Teanaway Tr1393 OAB, starting from the FR113 Middle Fork (Indian Camp) campground is the best option.
That TH is shown on the West Fork Teanaway Tr1353 page, and the Middle Fork Teanaway Tr1393 OAB is a better choice for intermediate riders than attempting to make a loop using Koppen Mountain Tr1225.
From the Beverly campground, North Fork Teanaway Tr1358 can be combined with Koppen Mountain Tr1225 and Johnson Medra Tr1383 to create a challenging 12mi, 3900' ascent CCW loop.
Note: Deroux Spur Tr1392.1 to the Koppen Mountain saddle is hike-a-bike.
Another option to the Johnson Medra Tr1383 return would be to continue on Koppen Mountain Tr1225 then return on Jungle Creek Tr1383.1
