Oregon Timber Trail: The Cultus Lake Loop, FR4628, FR4636 and Cascade Lakes Hwy (to Lava Lake) are part of the Cascade Peaks route.

TH: Start with a mild descent on FR4635 for 1.8mi, then go right on FR4630 and ride to FR4636 and FR640 to Deer Lake Tr6.

4.6mi: Go left onto Deer Lake Tr6, near the campground at 4.6mi. Ascend gradually for the first mile, with a steeper ascent at 5.6mi. Ride summit is at 6.7mi.

6.9mi: Just past the bridge, go right at the fork, onto Many Lakes Tr15 (Metolius-Windigo Tr99). The trail merges with FR640 at 8mi, then pass through West Cultus campground. The trail exits the west side of the campground.

9.3mi: Just past the bridge, go right onto Winopee Lake Tr16. Pass the Metolius-Windigo Tr99 intersection on the left at 9.6mi.

12mi: Winopee Lake Tr16 ends at the north side of the Cultus Lake Campground.
