Tire Mt Tr3485 can be combined with lower Alpine Tr3450 and Cloverpatch Tr3457 into a CW loop or one way shuttle ride.

Another shuttle option is to drive 1.6mi from the Alpine Tr3450 TH, towards Lookout Point Lake on FR5821, then go right on FR5828 for 3.8mi.

This avoids the last 1.5mi of Alpine Tr3450 and 1500' of climbing.

Then ride a CCW loop to Tire Mt Tr3485 and Cloverpatch Tr3457.

A popular 10mi shuttle involves a drop off at the top of FR1910, then riding Alpine Tr3450 to Tire Mt Tr3485, descending on Cloverpatch Tr3457 and FR5826 then FR5821 back to the southern Alpine Tr3450 TH. 1800' climb, 3200' descent, 1.2mi of 10% grade at start of Cloverpatch.

A great OAB ride is possible by starting on Eugene to Pacific Crest Tr3559, then riding Winberry Divide Tr3476 to Tire Mt Tr3485.

The ride can be extended by riding north on Alpine Tr3450 as far as desired.

The profile map includes a ride out to Windy Pass, for an epic 32mi ride (9800' climbing, 7% grade ascending Tire Mountain).

The first mile of Eugene to Pacific Crest Tr3559 gains 700', a 13% grade, a hike-a-bike for many riders.

Eugene to Pacific Crest Tr3559 can also be accessed from FR18 to Co Rd 6245 (FR1802) to FR150, offering an easier ascent to Winberry Divide Tr3476.

Two other OAB options are to drive to the top of FR1910 or FR5824 (see the Area Topo map).

As an OAB, starting from FR1910 creates an inverted ride profile, so starting from the top of FR5824 is the better of these two OAB options.

Note: As with many ridgeline rides, the large elevation gains are mostly due to undulating ridgeline terrain and not due to sustained climbing. Combined with length of the Tire Mountain ride options, undulating terrain makes for an intense, challenging ride.
