With a shuttle, Foggy Dew Tr417 can be combined with Martin Creek to Eagle Lake for an epic 18mi ride, but Foggy Dew Tr417 combined with Foggy Dew Ridge Tr438 is near-epic and requires no shuttle or major road climbing.
Foggy Dew Tr417 parallels the north side of the creek, through ponderosa pine and Douglas fir.
As a CCW, the ride starts with a 2.6mi, 22% incline ascent of Foggy Dew Ridge, which will exceed the capabilities of most riders but is a relatively fast way to get the needed elevation gain for the Foggy Dew Creek descent.
Sawtooth Wilderness trails: The nearby Fish Creek and Prince Creek wilderness trails offer great loop hiking options, with destination campgrounds at the Moore Point CG and Prince Creek CG.
