Bordering the Alpine Lakes wilderness, this ride offers spectacular views of the Stuart Range and the Ingalls Creek drainage.
The 3mi (2000' ascent) Beverly Creek climb will test the stamina of any rider, with some hike-a-bike required.
This relentless ascent is followed by a 2mi, 2250' switchback descent along Eldorado Creek.
Mt Goat option: A 15.5mi (6200' ascent) CCW loop can be created by adding nearby Koppen Mtn Tr1225 and Johnson Medra Tr1383.
Accessing Koppen Mountain Tr1225 from Deroux Spur Tr1392.1 is a .8mi, 1000' hike-a-bike, followed by the steep and hazardous Koppen Mountain summit ascent.
A gps is strongly suggested, along with extra time and supplies.
Directions: NW Forest Pass required right at the TH. Go on SR970 for 6.5mi, then turn left onto Teanaway Rd and go 13mi to the gravel road at 29 Pines CG, bearing right onto gravel North Fork Teanaway FR9737. Go 1.3mi, then bear left at the FR9703 intersection and continue 2.7mi to the Beverly Campground. View Larger Map. No Map?.

- TH: Ride .3mi from the Beverly campground to FR112 and ascend .2mi to the Beverly Turnpike Tr1391. Pass the Bean Creek Tr1391.1 intersection on the right at 1.9mi.
- 2.8mi: Trail moves away from Beverly Creek and traverses the steep hillside, including a .5mi hike-a-bike switchback section, before crossing Beverly Creek at 4mi.
- 4.6mi: Go left onto Iron Peak Tr1399 and complete the final Iron Peak saddle ascent, passing the ride summit at 5.1mi. The initial descent is steep, then moderates, before the final switchback plunge to North Fork Teanaway Tr1358.
- 7.1mi: Cross FR9737 then go left onto North Fork Teanaway Tr1358. Pass the De Roux campground then the trail crosses FR9737 at the Eldorado Creek crossing. Cross another creek at 8.8mi and a dirt road at 8.5mi, with the final creek crossing at 10.5mi. Go left onto FR9737 and return to the TH.
