  • TH: Ascend Mule Mountain, reaching the ridgeline at 2.5mi, then continuing to climb the sloping ridgeline to the ride summit, at Charly Buck/Baldy Pk Tr918 (4mi).
  • 4mimi: Go right on Charly Buck/Baldy Pk Tr918. The trail touches FR330 at 5mi and FR300 at 5.4mi.
  • 5.4mi: Go right at the FR300 intersection with Mule Cr Tr1159 and descend the Mule Creek drainage, crossing the creek at 7.6mi and with a number of smaller creek crossings along the way.
  • 9.4mi: Go left at the Mule Mt Tr919 intersection and return to the TH.
