Oregon Timber Trail: Summit Lake Trail 46, Windy Lakes Trail 3850 and FR60 are part of the Willamette Tier route.
TH: From the TH, cross FR60 and ride the connector trail to Oldenburg Lake Tr3845 (a section of Metolius-Windigo Tr99). Go left and gently ascend past Pinewan Lake, Bingham Lakes and Bingham Meadow, to Oldenburg Lake.
4.6mi: At the south end of Oldenburg Lake, go right onto Summit Lake Tr3846, a moderate traverse of the north side of Cowhorn mountain. The trail levels off at 7.2mi, passing Darlene lake, then Suzanne lake, followed by an ascent to the ride summit, just prior to reaching Windy Lakes Tr3850.
8.8mi: Merge left onto Windy Lakes Tr3850, then go right to continue on Summit Lake Tr3846. Descend past Windy Lakes, then descend more steeply, to Summit Lake.
14mi: At Summit Lake, go right onto FR6010, then descend to the Meek Lake Tr3847 intersection at 15.4mi. Go right, cross Summit Creek, pass Meek Lake, then ascend to the Summit Lake Tr3846 intersection.
17.8mi: Go left onto Summit Lake Tr3846 and climb to the Windy Lakes Tr3850 intersection.
19.3mi: Go left onto Windy Lakes Tr3850 and enjoy a fast descent alongside Cowhorn Creek, back to the TH.
